This programme provides CPD to secondary school senior and middle leaders to enable critical skills development in the area of change management and managing staff. In partnership with Scarborough Teaching School Alliance, this aims to drive forward progress and impact that would equip senior and middle leaders with the skills and knowledge to tackle current and future change management and build leadership capacity.
What is included?
This is a fully funded programme with all secondary schools are encouraged to participate.
Programme content includes:
Performance management; Effectively implementing change; Managing conflict; Coaching conversations; Action Learning for Leadership
Managing conflict; Challenging conversations; Coaching conversations; Holding People to Account; Performance management conversations; Action Learning in Practice.
All Programmes will enable reflective practice with additional sessions scheduled.
Who is eligible?
All NYOA secondary school senior and middle leaders are eligible for this programme, including aspiring leaders, to develop the knowledge and skills needed to be an effective leader in a complex educational environment.
When will this commence?
There will be a total of four cohorts delivered across 2019/20 and 2020/21, each with a maximum of fifteen available places. The first cohort will commence in January 2019, with commitment of one twilight session per half term (SL) / month (ML) across a calendar year (excluding school holidays).
Who will deliver the programme?
Delivery is by experienced HR/OD practitioners with in-depth knowledge of the education sector and the related pace of change and development. With significant knowledge of the schools in the area and the complexity of challenge, the practitioners delivering this programme have proven engagement with secondary schools, including maintained and academy experience.
