Transport and Cover Costs

The Opportunity Area is also offering 50% travel subsidy for schools and settings bringing pupils to attend events.

If you would like to apply for subsidy, please contact by the 28th of February with estimated travel costs.

There is also capacity for the Opportunity Area to reimburse schools for cover costs for members of teaching staff. Please contact for more information.

Bruno Reddy: Times Tables Rock Stars – Teachers Session – Whitby

March 12 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Bruno Reddy is an experienced educationalist, former Head of Maths at King Solomon Academy and founder of Times Tables Rock Stars (an award-winning programme that he invented for his pupils).

Bruno will be offering training for primary and secondary school teachers in Whitby and Scarborough. The session will cover successful approaches to teaching times tables for automaticity *and* understanding, including three classic mistakes that teachers make and the order in which to cover the concepts and tables.

Audience: These sessions are for any teachers interested in effective teaching of times tables.

Each session covers the same content, so there is no need to attend more than one session.
