Think Maths is a team of experienced mathematics speakers who visit schools to run workshops and give talks. Their sessions are interactive, engaging and cover mathematical content which will grab the attention of students and inspire them to get excited about maths.
After graduating from Durham University Zoe trained as a secondary maths teacher with the University of Oxford. Zoe then worked as a classroom teacher for four years before taking up a position at the Royal Institution where she created and delivered mathematics workshops for young people.
Zoe will be delivering her Shapes and Smoke Rings show in-School to students in Year 7 through to Year 8 of all ability levels. This show explores topology, an extension of geometry that allows shapes and surfaces to be stretched as much as you want and is not limited by our normal three dimensions.
This session will involve hands-on topology activities to help students reflect on how their brains learn mathematics.
Sessions will take place in-school
